Bad process

Okay, I've fallen a few days behind in my updates. I'm still gathering the data, don't worry.

Blogger sucks for uploading pictures! I can do it in batches of five, at most, and often the site times out. At that point, if I haven't saved the post as a draft, it means I lose all the work I've done. This week they added a word-verification step for each and every update. So, every time I want to save a draft, I have to enter a code too.

So, I'm going to write a script that will generate this page automatically, from the photographs. I'll add the weight, bp, and pulse data from a delimited text file. This means I'll have to host the site myself, but over the long run it should save me a lot of time and frustration.

Ah, I see. Blogger added the word-verification step because they think I'm a spam-blog. Something about having a lot of pictures. The funny thing is that I don't have links to ads, or anything else for that matter. Maybe it's the Google Analytics javascript?

I'm still going to write that script, though.

I went to a sit-down Vietnamese lunch with my co-workers. Sadly, I forgot the camera. So, I didn't eat. I picked up some Italian on the way back, and photographed it at my desk.

People were trying to be polite, and encouraging me to eat -- to cheat on my system. I was polite, but stuck with my system. This is an all-or-nothing deal. The whole point of this photo-blog is to be insanely detailed about documenting what I eat. I don't want to corrupt the data by cheating. I picked up some Italian on the way back to the office.

I got my blood-pressure machine back from my parents. This reading is a lot lower than one I took yesterday. I took that one after climbing some stairs, then resting for about 2 min. That reading was about 20/10 higher. It's suggested that you rest for 10 min before taking a reading.

I'm measuring my BP and pulse just after waking, sitting up in bed, but before getting out of bed. Oh -- all measurements are on my left arm.
